We are 2/3rds of the way through the season.
Its all Happening, It looks like Russ Thompson has nearly won the 205 1600s, he must finish Otterburn to be crowned Champion.
While Dan Corner misses Otterburn as his and Emma’s baby is due that weekend, babies will be just as much fun as rallycars.
Geno Cook is making his long awaited comeback, while Mat Smith 2008 Champion is already lining up 2010 as his 2nd title
The 1400s sees a huge battle between Adam, Ben and Jack, while Rich Boyes makes a welcome return after his Plains rally accident.
The BMWs is a 4 way battle, with Davo, Toni, Richie and Foxy battling it out, its going to be all about dropped scores here, Foxy looks favourite but it could go any way, Stanny is on hols for Otterburn and has got to grips with his BMW setting fastest times at Swansea, Tom Stevenson continues to impress in his 1st season, Barney has the car back and will be out on Otterburn. Dave May will have his modified E36 Compact, while Ciro brings out the mighty modified E30, can he do it here??
Modified Peugeots has been won by Dewi Williams, who has had brilliant battles with Andy Chalmers all year, but look out for former Clio racing Champion Ed Pead, he stage debuts at Otterburn, and could surprise many with his pace.
Elsewhere Damien Smith had a cracking top 30 on the Pendragon, impressing many spectators, while Craig Diamond was also very quick, but retired late on in the rally.
Toni Carannante/Nicola Fearnley will be waving the BMW flag on the btrda Woodpecker this weekend, while Ella Flynn will be Co driving Graham Middleton at the front of the 1400 category.
Foxy had a good run down on Neath Valley stages, looked after by carol & Barney, while Jamie Anderson continues to impress with a fine 3rd Overall in the Evo on his 2nd Evo event.
Conor Flynn heads to Croft in October to hopefully wrap up the RWD Challenge Championship in Rallycross, making it 2 championships in a row, he had a good run at Pembrey where he qualified for the Superfinal, and took a podium 3rd place in the Welsh Masters Superfinal.
Clio’s will be running in the BRC Challenge in 2010, they are looking healthy with a dozen crews already building, the show car will be at BRC open day on Oct 9th at Sweet Lamb
Congratulations to Dan Corner and Emma on the birth of baby Aidan, at 7lb 5oz.
